LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE IN BRAZIL
Landscape architecture profession in Brazil has not yet been regulated by a specific law.
Currently in the House of Representatives the Bill2043/2011 that should determine the creation of higher education courses in Landscaping.
However, since the 60's landscaping is regulated by Federal Law 5,194 of 1966 under the CREA - former Regional Council of Engineersand Architects, current Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy and ratified in 2015 by resolution of the CONFEA - Federal Council of Engineering and Agronomy. By this law they are able to exercise the landscaping architects, the Forest Engineers and Agronomists Engineers who attend courses for the landscaping along the course.
With the approval of the Bill, professionals with degrees in these areas and who already work as landscapers remain able to legally exercise the profession.
